Neuropsychology

Neuropsychology involves the use of a variety of different tests to measure intellectual or cognitive ability. These tests may assess functions such as memory, language, spatial ability, problem solving, multi-tasking, judgement, and other similar abilities. Measurement of these processes over time is especially useful in studying the aging brain, because it allows us to see how individuals may change over time. By doing this, we can relate cognitive changes to changes in brain volumes, neural networks, and better understand the importance of Aβ and tau deposition.
